Kim Tepper started Pearl Furniture out of her passion for furniture and home design!

What began as a passion has transformed into a thriving Wholesale/Retail (Whole tail) business. Kim has spent her career in search of something that would ignite her entrepreneurial spirit. From her days as an Interior Designer to the corporate world of Commercial Real Estate Project Management Kim has always had the desire to own her own business.

Kim has worked as both a commercial and residential Interior Designer, a Project Manager for a general contracting firm, as well as managing corporate build-outs for a large commercial brokerage firm. All of these roles have given Kim the experience and knowledge required to run a successful business.

When Kim bought her first home and had nothing but her old college furniture and some hand me downs she realized her passion, furniture and home designs. Frustrated with the lack of selection or customization of most retail environments Kim knew there had to be a better way. After explaining her vision to her contacts in the furniture industry and recognizing the huge potential, Pearl Furniture was born.


Pearl Furniture offers residential furniture very similar to furniture found at popular retail stores at a fraction of the cost, with many more fabrics and finish choices. Kim works with 20 manufacturers and has a showroom with furniture samples in the up and coming SOGO district, where she sees clients by appointment.

The goal of Pearl Furniture is to create a healthy work/life balance while offering tremendous value and excitement to our clients. Kim loves growing a business but she equally enjoys growing a family. Kim has built Pearl Furniture to allow her the flexibility to spend time with her family while growing a small business.
